2 Drivers Involved In Hit and Run Crash Killing A Pedestrian In Hillsborough County



Hillsborough County - Florida Highway Patrol has announced a Pedestrian was killed after a hit and run crash in Hillsborough County on Monday Evening on Morris Bridge Road, near the intersection of Tampa Oaks Boulevard.

According to the report an unknown driver, maybe two, contributed to killing a pedestrian by not stopping to check on the pedestrian after hitting them.  The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. The identity of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.

According to Investigators the make and model of the vehicle and the driver's identity remain unknown.  It could possibly be a gray or silver vehicle.

Investigators say they are reviewing surveillance videos of the surrounding area in the hopes of identifying the perpetrators if possible

Another driver saw the pedestrian on the road and called 911.  It is unclear the length of time the pedestrian remained on the road before first responders arrived at the scene.

Hillsborough County Sheriff, issued a statement that it is a felony offense to leave the scene of a crash that causes injury whether you are at fault or not.
